As part of the BT Skills for Tomorrow programme, Barefoot aimed to prepare primary school teachers for the changing computing curriculum and give millions of kids the tech skills they need for the future. We were brought in to help plan, design and develop a sophisticated content-managed website that would enable teachers, pupils and parents to log-in and access tailored information and activities.
The site’s complexity was managed by a smart content management platform and backend tools that meant new resources could be added and promoted easily. For example, a new ‘Learn at Home’ page saw a 1,100% spike after the release of 12 new Barefoot resources, with 52k views of the new games – and the Barefoot platform reached nearly 3 million pupils and 70,000 teachers in two-thirds of all primary schools across the UK.
